While reading chapter 6 of the text book, a lot of the concepts, at first appeared to be all familiar words, and then the concept of RELEVANCE surfaced. I often used my search engine inadequately, using one word examples, constantly wondering why 100,000 results showed up and none of them were what I wanted. For instance, one day I was searching for information on my cell phone and its features, so I typed “Palm Treo.” As you can imagine, I received almost 1 million results on Palm Treos. Seeing as there are several different models with numerous features. After reading and understanding the concept of Relevance, I should have typed with more detail/ RELEVANCE. “Palm Treo 750 features..." Duh Kw33nSpeak3r use your brain L.O.L

Hello Kw33n! I am glad you have learned that relevance is necessary when searching for resources. Since a variety of resources are required for this speech, besides the internet, what types of resources are you going to be using?
ReplyDeletefor the first speech in particular, i plan to utilize the people in my life that have experienced debutantes, i've read a few books on the topic of social events, as well as there are plenty of movies that cover the topic as well.
