Behavior

“Adapting to Your Audience” was a great chapter to analyze before giving our speeches on the 27th. This chapter covered topics that will familiarize us with our audience and different techniques to provide connection and interaction. After going through all of the key concepts in Chapter 5, I seemed to keep drawing back to the term “Behavior.” I think the term behavior is essential in any presentation for both the speaker and the audience. For instance, if the speaker shows, positive attitude, energy, and interaction during a presentation, in most cases the audience will act accordingly, and/ or be interested.

  1. Hello Kw33n! You mentioned behavior. How exactly do you plan on implementing this into your speech? Is platform behavior important when giving a speech?

  2. You chose a great word! The word “Behavior” I believe is important in presentations. The way someone acts in most situations often rubs off in other people so if a speaker is positive and energetic most likely the people will mirror that. And if the speaker is boring or looks like they don’t want to be their then the audience will in most cases act the same way. In your upcoming presentation how do you believe your behavior is going to affect the audience? How are you going to portray your “attitude, energy, and interaction” during your presentation so that your audience will be interested in your topic?
